Hi, I'm Alex.
Marketing graduate turned digital marketer turned full-stack builder. I've spent eight years running digital products at scale for global brands — and now I build proper websites for small businesses who deserve the same quality of work.
I studied Marketing Management at Manchester Metropolitan and finished with a 2:1, then spent the next eight years inside the global gambling industry — building customer journeys, running promotional calendars, leading remote teams, and squeezing every last drop of performance out of CRM and acquisition campaigns at scale.
I started out in Dublin, then moved into CRM leadership roles in Gibraltar across some of the largest operators in the industry. Somewhere along the way I decided I was tired of waiting for engineering tickets to be picked up. So I taught myself to code — HTML, JavaScript, CSS, PHP and Python — and started shipping the things I wanted myself.
In 2023 I founded Rated News, a news aggregation site with a community ratings system. I built the whole thing solo — front end, back end, server, database, plus an OpenAI-powered pipeline that ingests and summarises over 1,000 articles a day. That gave me the rest of the toolkit I needed to launch BrandBuilt Digital.
Today I run BrandBuilt Digital alongside Rated News and a games product role in the industry. Every site BrandBuilt ships is built by me, not outsourced. Every monthly care plan is responded to by me. The agency stays small on purpose.
